EMPLOYMENT - Documentation technician
Responsibilities
- Participate in the realization of the documentary resource program.
- Carry out bibliographical research in order to publish the lists of references.
- Carry out historical research in order to support the history of the SHS.
- Describe and index historical documents and archives.
- Assist in the implementation of SHS document management mechanisms.
- Provide customer information service for archives and resources.
- Actively participate in the development of the Center des Archives fransaskoises.
Academic requirements and professional experiences
- Respond favorably to the conditions of the Young Canada Works program.
- Have a high school diploma, Current degree, experience, or knowledge of information sciences.
- Up-to-date COVID-19 vaccination record.
- Up-to-date criminal history file for vulnerable persons.
Required skills
- Good oral and written communication skills in French and English,
- Computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, SharePoint),
- Write short texts and messages,
- Organized and meticulous,
- Communicative and collaborative,
- Dynamic and taking initiative,
- Exercise judgment and know-how to manage priorities.
Condition of work
- Entry into office: May 2022
- Salary scale: starting at $17.00 per hour for 37.5 hours per week (Monday to Friday).
- Duration of employment: 4-month contract position until September 30, 2022, at the latest, with the possibility of renewal.
- Work location: Regina (Saskatchewan) offices and telecommuting.
- Conditional JCT benefit: Transportation coverage.

A first summer camp for the Saskatchewan French Historical Society
Camp TIlo is a summer camp entirely in French for children aged 8 to 11 that offers the opportunity to discover living French Canadian heritage through traditional dance and music. This initiative allows for youth to be immersed in the Francophone culture of Saskatchewan, while promoting the transmission of traditions and a sense of belonging to the Fransaskois community.
